Bone resorption: Can I Submerge the Implant?

I have a patient with bone resorption around the implant. Almost half the length of the implant is exposed but there is no inflammation or infection and the implant is not mobile. Is it possible to cut the implant at bone level and submerge it? If so, is it easy to cut titanium? What should one use to cut it? I do understand that the implant can be explanted, but can I avoid that by cutting the implant?

Why would you submerge it verses explanting it?

If no symptoms and not a cosmetic issue, you could just leave it alone. No mobility, no infection, no inflammation - sounds like you can just keep an eye on it for symptoms and they can continue to eat on it. Check occlusion.
