Case Presentation: CeraRoot 12 zirconia implant replacing tooth #22
Tooth #22 missing for >5 years. Patient wanted a fixed solution as been wearing a flipper for a long time. CeraRoot 12 was placed, and temporized immediately. After 3 months of healing an emax crown was fabricated. Soft tissue matured as scarring was evident and was resolved at 1 year post-insertion.
Missing tooth, soft tissue deficeincy.
Immediately after insertion, great position and great stability
Soft tissue maturing, implant is integrated and in ideal position.
Occlusal view of the healed implant. Not the ideal placement in the tissue and the quality of buccal tissue.
Final restoration 1 year in function.

I have similar results.
I use Z-systems and have done about 30 cases. Biggest challenge here is the lack of prosthetic wiggle room, in other words, better put the implant in the exact right place! The results are fantastic.
Just curious, how do you temporize these?
Last I checked they are not FDA cleared for immediate placement - load. I saw a previous case of immediate placement in a molar site which looked great.

I practice in Canada and CeraRoot is not limited in terms of immediate placement and temporization. If I have enough initial stability and patient cooperation then it's the same as two piece titanium. You should try CeraRoot great product.
As for prosthetic wiggle room, you are correct there is less but whatever material we use for the implant we always need to place ideally and choose the right cases.
