Flapless Implant Installation: Discussion Topic

With the increasing accuracy of CBCT scans and the increasing accuracy of surgical guide stent fabrication, there is more and more emphasis on flapless implant fixture installation. However, there is another viewpoint that the entire surgical field should be visualized prior to implant installation. The advantages of flapless implant installation are generally thought to be decreased post-operative pain, increased patient comfort, more rapid healing and decreased time for the actual surgery. Of course every case must be evaluated on an individual basis. What are your views on this topic?
