How to prepare I-PRF?

tube i-prfI would like to find out some more information on the i-PRF technique [injectable platelet rich fibrin]. What settings do you use on the centrifuge for the rpm speed and length of time of cycle? Are any of you using i-PRF and what are your results and recommendations.

You just have to go and see Joseph Choukron ........ wherever it means flying to he will make you think and explain it all....

Hi Settings: 700rpm and 3 m The outcome of mixing APRF/ IPRF are spectacular. I use them both on all clinical indications. I agree with Fabian, attend Dr. Chouckroun class, it will change you way of thinking Good luck Alex

Can i-PRF be prepared in common centrifuge machine as well if we maintain the rpm and time? Please elaborate.

All of these protocols are based on the scientific principles of centrifugation. It is not relevant what centrifuge brand you use, as long as it is manufactured by reputable manufacturer, and can be set to the proper RCF. I am using RCF, as RPM is not a relevant metric when comparing machines. The RPM will differ on machines, due to a different rotor radius. To figure out the proper RPM on a specific machine, you need to use a G Force calculation. There are many online calculators, like this one: https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/technical-documents/articles/biology/g-force-calculator.html - So first figure out what the RCF for the protocol you want to do, then find out the rotor radius of your machine, and then plug those into the equation to figure our the RPM to use on your specific machine.

Does anyone know of a service that will come to your office to prepare I-PRF in the State of Florida?

Start here, then explore other Youtube videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQYomm2GCwU Also, the settings Alex posted are correct.

I got the I-PRF according to the Settings: 700 rpm and 3 min, but it did not get sticky when mixed with the bone graft . any suggestion ...... and does i-prf contains a platlete count that is similer to the prp's platlete count ?

it has been resolved with glass tubes . thanks

HI Yaser, u did not use glass tubes initially ?

I-PRF is prepared with the Yellow Plastic tubes...not glass tubes. I-PRF is used to make steaky bone. Glass tubes are for A-PRF - membranes and plugs. A-PRF is used to make sticky bone. Boca Dental Supply have 8 CE credit courses with hands on phlebotomy, to make sure the doctors are confident in venipuncture and eliminate the need for an outside service to come to the office and make the procedure more expensive. The doctor should not take more than 2 minutes drawing the blood.

Is there any solution to use glass tube for i prf preparation and get sticky bone graft

is there any specific centrifugal machine required for the preparation of PRP or i PRF or any machine can solve the purpose

The things that i have understood currently from my research online is that iprf can be made in yellow plastic tubes without a silica coat at 700 rpm and 3 minutes.Aprf at 1300 rpm for 8 minutes i guess. What i need to know is sometimes a prf membarne is cut to add to the bone graft (is it requirrd and does it have a role in sticky bone formation or is normal particulate graft enough?).Now to make the final stciky bone i have seen some people aspirate the platelet poor plasma and spray it on the bone graft or they press the prf and the exudate is used on the graft to make it sticky. So are these centrifuge machines absolutely required or can the same protocols be used for some other centrifuge and deliver the same results.I still feel dr chakroun would be able to teach this best but its hard to find him or his courses in and around the areas where we live.so any help will be greatly appreciatd

Podem me dizer se a centrifuga Centribio 80 2B da Daiki é boa para A-PRF e i-PRF? Qual o tempo é RPM para cada nesta centrífuga?

Hello Dr what's is different between A -PRF and L- PRF ? Thank you
Dr Anil George Behanan

L prf contains more leukotcytes more wbcs, hence stronger membrane can be made ... hence used over bone grafts.. A prf is thin, soft and friable contains less leucotcytes

How much more? Is there any big difference clinically?

That comment is incorrect. Is the oposite : Compare the speed and time in the centrifuge generating heat. The less speed less heat....translates in more live cells.

I’m concerned with possible cytotoxic effects of micro particles of silica in my i-PRF preparation, but haven’t been able to find info on injectable PRF prepared in plain/sterile glass tubes. Has anyone been using glass with their i-PRF preparations?

iPRF (liquid prf) is prepared in plain plastic tubes. You do not use glass tubes for iPRF. Glass tubes are used for A-PRF (solid prf)
