Hybridge prosthetics full arch implant restoration: input?

I am looking for input based on your experience with using Hybridge brand laboratory prosthetics for full arch implant restorations. I am assuming all full-arch implant support criteria has been accomplished between surgeon, restorative dentist and laboratory. This includes removing teeth, bone reduction is adequate per prosthetic space requirements, number of implants, adequate torque and position, VDO, occlusal balance etc. I have been doing this treatment for many years. My main prosthetics are 1. Titanium bar and acrylic/denture teeth and 2. Titanium frame and individual Procera teeth. I have not used the all-zirconia milled bridge. I don’t have many fail points any more, but the learning curve was very stiff. I am looking to decrease the total treatment time and also get lab costs under control. I am looking at the Hybridge CrCo bar and milled PMMA. Any input will be much appreciated.

look at Cagenix.com. CrCo - i don't think Hybridge is milling those yet. They are still waxed by hand, I believe- but could be wrong. Also, I think you need to schlep up to Buffalo for a few days to learn their protocol.

Rochester NY. Once set up and part of their program, HYBRIDGE wants to control their brand.; rightfully so. To that end, all your work is done by THEIR lab. Which is good and bad. You become stuck to them as far as their protocols and services. There is or at least was when I was looking at a 'franchise' a discount to members for the lab Sevices. Remember, there is no such thing as a free lunch. There are costs associated with joining these 'Networks' . For some it is good, my view is for most it is not as great as they were lead to believe but not as harrowing as you may worry about. Stand up folks though and Karen L has always been pleasant. Good luck

Dr Bruce. TY. I am taking 2 other doctors to LV semeinar. Does hybridge charge a franchise fee to work with them? I understand the issue of advertising and working exclusively with their lab which is N P but am I walking into a “time share” experience? I have the patients, marketing and and experience ; I just want a reasonable price point and predictability. Maybe I should be asking. What is experience of those using zirconia over resin . Thank You

After about 30 years experience with many variations of prostheses placed on implants I can only give my findings. 1 over engineer - never under estimate the stresses 2 there are no short cuts 3 pay for the best laboratory not the cheapest (this does not always mean the most expensive) 4 use a lab that knows what they are doing (possibly they will know more than you) 5 milled bars are great – whether Cr/Co or titanium 6 consider stainless steel locators if used 7 vertical height milled bars are better for over denture retention and stability (if there is enough OVD) 8 splint the impression copings if possible, but not if the implants are hugely divergent 9 use a laboratory that can cold weld abutments onto frames if required 10 cold weld abutments onto frames if long span (rather than cast) 11 every new system takes time and failures to learn how to get the best results 12 most importantly, design whatever you place into the patient’s mouth so that it is easy to clean the implants 13 therefore functional cleaning always has priority over aesthetics 14 for this reason, I tend to provide more implant or bar retained over dentures than hybrid bridges. In fact, more often than not, I have to replace implant retained bridges with removable prostheses so the patient can properly maintain the implants So... in regards to your proposed new system, as long as these points are covered you should be fine. But do not expect too much: to be trouble free you will always need to spend time and money on the laboratory side of prosthodontics. Thus it is not so much getting a quicker and cheaper deal, but rather educating and explaining to your patient why things need to be done certain ways.

I second Cagenix for these types of solutions. Also I would contact Matt Mills at Hybrid Technologies in Florida 719 684 5329, Jordan Lott at Precision Dental Arts 208-733-0383. These are experts, along with Cagenix, in full mouth restorations.

I think Hybridge is one of the best full arch labs in the country. Period.
