Lateral Incisor came out years ago: Can I consider an implant now?

My top lateral incisor came out years ago but my canine tooth sort of grew into the spot and filled the gap. My top row of teeth is now asymmetrical and I’m not happy with it. Is there a possibility I can get a dental implant now?

If you lost a lateral incisor and the canine moved and closed the gap you now have no space to put an implant. If you do not like the asymetry of the arch, your have the choice to undergo orthodontic therapy (braces) to move the canine back and create enough room for an implant to replace the missing lateral. The only other choice is to try to reshape the canine to look like a lateral, but you will still have one less tooth on that side. Good luck!
