Symptoms of a Failed Sinus Lift Bone Augmentation

I had a sinus lift on Jan 6 with augmentation. I have been very congested since thins and using a salt rinse. How would I be able to know if the sinus lift failed? What are the symptoms to look for? Would an infection show up on a CT?

This is a question for the surgeon that performed the sinus lift. PLEASE make an appointment IMMEDIATELY to see your surgeon, the ongoing congestion may be a matter for serious concern.. If for any reason you are not satisfied or unsure about his/her evaluation seek a second opinion from a qualified dental surgeon or ENT doctor. You should be receiving ongoing observations during the healing period. I generally see my patients to monitor healing at 2, 4, 8 and 16 weeks, more frequently if necessary. If there are any signs or symptoms they are dealt with accordingly.Regards,Dr David Azar

I had a sinus life 5 weeks ago. It failed today. Have communication mouth to sinus. Like my doctor he did ct scan we could see most of bone graft still in there. The healing of membrane an gum have been very slow. Going to it easy. Can it still work if the membrane and gum heal to hold in the remains graft.

I lost 2 teeth, one lower right, and one upper left at the back, about a year ago, so enquired about implants to my own dentist in Scotland who referred me to a Glasgow implantologist, he said it would cost £5.600 to include an upper sinus lift, my own dentist said it would probably be around £2.000 per tooth, so when the implantologist said £5.600 I started to do some research and googled implants abroad, and my search led me to Hungary, Budapest. So I found a clinic called kreativ dental, I arranged to go there for assessment, and after ct scan came to the same conclusion as the Glasgow implantologist. 2 implants, one lower right, and one upper left, to be done at the same time as sinus lift, so I had the procedure carried out, and after surgery all they said really was don't blow your nose for 3-4 months and if I were to sneeze, open my mouth, which to Hungarian implantologist demonstrated to me how to do this, but my real concern is that now I had this done in the spur of the moment there and then the next day, is that all they have said to me was to come back in 9 months time to have the abutments and tooth placement done, with no mention of any check ups or anything, they did give me antibiotics and painkillers, and a leaflet on what to do in the week after surgery, but I can't help but feel I haven't been given a proper plan, and told about follow up check ups, I paid £1.800 for first part of the 2 part with another £1.800 to pay on completion. Why do I feel like I'm left without the proper care I should be given from kreativ dental, Budapest. I'm really not sure what I should do, or who I should go to for some help/advice

From my experience so far (did sinus left 3 weeks ago, and read plenty of resources before doing so) That is all to be done. with exception of periodic check ups and follow ups, you still have to go to a local dentist\specialist to make sure everything is properly healing. There is literally nothing for them to do until your jaw bone grows and heals to the required size of the bone graft...that should take 9-12 months.

Day 6 of my sinus lift and dental implant and had an unexpected hard sneeze. It put pressure on the sight and now it aches. How can I tell if the sneeze caused damage?
