<p>Expanders are also an alternative to the maxillary sinus elevation technique. Expanders are driven into the bone with a ratchet wrench or low speed hand piece. This decreases the surgical trauma of osteotomes. Bone expanders (2.3, 2.7, 3.1, 3.5, 4.3 and 5.1mm) improve the clinical success by improving stability, maintaining bone density and increasing fixation. Each screw had 4 score marking at 10mm, 8mm, 6mm and 4mm.</p>

<p>This kit may be autoclaved. Follow the sterilizer manufacturer's recommended procedure while observing the following cautions:</p>

  <li>Do not submerge in any solution</li>
  <li>Do not use ultrasonic devices</li>
  <li>Do not autoclave for extended periods of time (i.e. overnight)</li>

<p>Extended autoclaving should not be confused with repeated autoclaving. Repeated autoclaving will not harm the product.</p>
